I tried the 3 week trial and after sweating through that decided to join and become part of the CrossFit Hillsboro craziness. I have seen more results in my short time here than anything else I've tried given the same time I put into the workouts (just 1 hour each session). The group classes are motivating yet the coaches pay attention to your safety while challenging you at the same time. Modifications for past injuries are also available, which I appreciate. "Never did I push myself like I do at CrossFit Hillsboro. Plus, I didn’t have the camaraderie with coworkers to help motivate me or the interaction with personal trainers to ensure I was working out smart and pushing myself. By attending CrossFit Hillsboro, I feel like I’ve created another extended family. I’ve bonded with my coworkers and other CrossFit Hillsboro members. They provide support and encouragement to get me out of my cube and to class. They also provide support and encouragement when the workouts are tough.

CrossFit Hillsboro emphasizes healthy nutrition. I’m eating much better at work and at home now that I’m working out more. One would think you’d come back to your desk after a workout exhausted, but the added energy I get from class pushes me through the rest of the day.

I’m also noticing positive changes at home. My wife has every intention in the world to exercise regularly, but she’s a work-a-holic. Ironically, OHSU doesn’t promote a very healthy work/life balance for being a world-recognized medical research and care center. Since I’ve been going to Cross Fit-Hillsboro, my wife is now taking part in her own exercise routine and has adopted a very healthy eating diet. I know the positive experience I’ve had at CrossFit has influenced my wife."
